Welcome to my Idea, Tips page! Here I am going to add things that I think is really good and that I use myself... Cats and FoodIf I need to give extra Milk I always use KMR for the babykittens. NAN 1 or Majsvälling I use when I want to give the babykittens, 3-4wks old something before the other food and to make their tummy more use to food. I give this for 4 days... I have a great recipie for making kitten food your self: Kittens 4 to 6wks. Take about 3 potaoes, skin of, and cut into bigger pieces. 1 bigger carrot, clean and make tiny pieces. Boil in pan until its soft, 10-15 min Then add one packet of some white fish; Torsk or sej and some salt. Boil in pan until its soft, 7-10 min, then take an electrisk visper and swirl until it is real soft. I then put little portions in freezer, so I can give the kittens a little every time. I always make it room temperatur for the kittens before they eat. After 6 wks. You can add some porkmeat (fläskfärs) into the dish together with the fish... They LOVE this:) I also give the kittens RC babycat, soften by water. **I think it is very important that every kitten learn to eat dry food before they leave their breeder** This is because the new owner might want the kitten to only eat dry food!! ... At about 8-9 wks old the kittens starts to eat dry food and eats RC babycat dry. The mummy cat also likes to eat what the kittens eat and that is good:) I give dry food, sometimes real babyfood and the other pot, carrot,fish, pork food and water until the kittens move at 13 wks. **Babyfood, Carrot**, is real great if the kittens 4wks. or older Cats gets diarrhea. When cats are to hard in the tummy, and cant go to their toilet you can give them; Butter, Messmör or a little rapsoil in the food and that useally helps. We give all our Cats HILLS Kitten and Adult dry food every day together with fresh fish and different kinds of meat. They always have water and dry food to eat whenever they like... HAIRBOLLS Two things I know get hairbolls up, Grass and Malt. It is VERY important that all CATS gets his/hers hairbolls up otherwise they get stuck in their intestines and the cat starts feeling very ill... Some cats have more and some have less hairbolls. I get some real Oats (havre) or buy in store for cats, and put about 2cm soil in a plastic box, (matlåda), water on it and throw some of the oats on it. Then water a little again and put some old news paper over it and put in a dark place for two days so it can grow. Make sure its wet all the time. After two days the grass shoule have grown up about one cm. and then you put it in a window where its light so it can grow. In abaout 3-4 days you have made grass for the cats and they just LOVE IT:) Dont forget to water the grass as its growing... Malt you can buy in animals stores and put in the cats food or just put some on their paw so they can lick it. They also have some snacks, (godis) for the cats that has malt in it. They are good too :) Cant live without!!WIPES, (Våtservetter)...Sometimes cats vomit on the floor or you find hairballs on the floor and it is so great to use wipes and wipe it up:) STUDPANTS... If your stud (male) starts urinate every where, use Studpants, ( bitches pants, Tikbyxor). I found good ones at the animal store. Yes, they do work and ofcourse you cant leave the cat and have them on, it is only for a short time the cat can have them on!! I have also found a breeder that makes good pants for the whole body and I will buy them also and try them on!! CLEANING I use Gallsoap (galltvål) and Greensoap (grönsåpa) They are great to use and safe for cats. Some Klorin I use to clean up litterboxes once in a while, but its not safe for cats, so be careful the cats doesnt get in touch with it!! At Clas Ohlson store you can buy a box with great soft, plastic gloves, good prices, to use when cleaning litterboxes or other stuff... More Tips will come..... Fy and URK!! For Littersand that has parfym in it. Making the kittens eyes red and the other cats dont like it at all. Can be good for a studmale but that is it!!! |
